Estate Planning practice group assist clients with all aspects of trusts and estates, ranging from routine wills to complex estate plans. A significant portion of the firm’s estate planning practice is devoted to the preparation of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney and other disability and estate planing documents. The firm also has extensive experience in the administration of estates and trusts; the preparation of required income, estate, gift and inheritance tax returns; the administration of conservatorships and guardianships; and trust and estate litigation.
An individual’s estate plan often calls for more than a traditional will or trust. Attorneys in this practice group seek to address the client’s long-term objectives while structuring a tax-efficient estate plan. They routinely advise clients on the creation and implementation of planning tools such as revocable and irrevocable trusts, life insurance trusts, gifting programs, family limited partnerships, deferred compensation arrangements, planning for retirement benefits and charitable planning.
