Much of the estate settlement process is now complete. Assets have been inventoried; finances are organized; bills are paid. Now is the time to distribute non-probate assets of the estate. These are items whose distributon is not goverened by a Will. They typically consist of assets covered by other financial instruments such as a Living Trust, or by beneficiary provisions built into policies such as life insurance. Also included in this category is personal property having minimal monetary value.
